Wigan have agreed to extend back row forward Chris Tuson's loan spell at Castleford for another month.

Forward stays on a week-to-week basis

Wigan have agreed to extend back row forward Chris Tuson's loan spell at Castleford for another month. The 20-year-old Tuson's initial loan spell with the Tigers expired at the weekend, but he has impressed coach Terry Matterson and will now remain at the Jungle on a week-to-week basis, with Wigan having the right to a 48-hour recall. "I'm grateful to Wigan," said Matterson. "Chris has done a good job for us. He is a good prospect and he is pleased to be playing Super League. "Wigan are happy that he is getting some regular first-grade football so the arrangement is suiting everyone." Meanwhile, the Tigers have allowed hooker Kirk Netherton to join Widnes for a month. "In Kirk's case, he probably wasn't going to get too much football in May," the coach added. "He will be playing at a good standard at Widnes and we can recall him if need be ahead of the Wigan game at the beginning of June."
