Tigers hooker retiring from the sport
Castleford Tigers hooker Ryan Hudson is to retire at the end of the Stobart Super League season.
The 32-year-old former captain is in his second spell with the Tigers after stints at the Wakefield Wildcats and Huddersfield Giants.
Hudson has no qualms with the physicality of the sport, stating he is now ready for a new challenge.
Change
"I am ready for a change," said Hudson. "My body feels okay but mentally I'm ready.
"I'm excited about the future. We've launched the elite rugby academy and I've also a few other options."
Castleford chief executive Steve Ferres said: "I'd like to wish Ryan a happy retirement and hope that he continues to be involved in our great game."
