Sheens expresses his admiration for 'one tough man'

England forward Gareth Ellis is a major doubt for the end-of-season Four Nations Series. The former Wakefield and Leeds second rower, now in his third season with Wests Tigers in the NRL, has been told he may need surgery to correct an on-going groin injury. "Gareth is one tough man and few people realise what he has overcome this year," Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens told Australia's Rugby League Week magazine. Sheens, who is also Australia's national coach, added: "If he was born here, he would be playing for New South Wales and Australia."
