RFL could take action over incident at KC Stadium
Crusaders coach Brian Noble has been placed under investigation by the Rugby Football League for his reaction to his side's defeat to Hull on Friday.
The former Great Britain boss was furious after referee James Child awarded a late penalty to the hosts at the KC Stadium, which Danny Tickle converted for an 18-16 victory.
Noble attempted to confront Child and had to be restrained by the fourth official after seeing Crusaders' play-off hopes take a hit with the loss.
"Brian Noble is under investigation," a spokesman from the RFL confirmed.
The Welsh outfit had come from behind to level the scores after Hull full-back Jordan Tansey was sent off but Reece Lyne was ruled to have been blocked while chasing a kick in the dying stages, leading to the match-winning penalty.
Noble also made his feelings clear after the match, saying that he was
"absolutely seething" with the decision.
Crusaders remain in the top eight despite the defeat but face a tough clash with St Helens on Saturday.
