Chev to make league comeback

Former Great Britain centre Chev Walker has announced his return to rugby league by signing a three-year contract with Hull KR. The 24-year-old returns to the Super League after a brief stint with union side Bath. Walker signed for Bath from Leeds Rhinos in a three-year deal just under 12 months ago. However, despite been drafted immediately into the England development team against Italy and Ireland last spring, he struggled to settle, making just 13 appearances in the Guinness Premiership. Walker - who made his rugby league debut at the age of 16 - enjoyed eight seasons in the Super League with Leeds, winning the title in 2004. Rovers unveiled their new capture in a press conference at Craven Park on Thursday after beating Wigan to his signature. Walker is Hull KR's fifth acquisition of the summer as they prepare for next season, having already secured the services of Hull full-back Shaun Briscoe and Wakefield winger Peter Fox as well as overseas pair Ben Galea and Jake Webster.
