New deal for rising star at KC Stadium
Teenager Thomas Lee has signed a one-year extension to his existing contract at Hull FC.
The 19-year-old, who can play at either half-back or hooker, is now committed to the Black and Whites until the end of the 2009 season.
Lee is looking forward to developing his skills in both roles and is excited by the prospect of competing for places with the club's winter signings.
"This is great news for me, especially with such talented players as Shaun Berrigan and Adam Dykes joining the club," Lee told Hull's official website.
"Working alongside Shaun and Adam is a great opportunity for me.
Tremendous skills
"They are two outstanding players; they have tremendous skills in their respective positions and a vast amount of experience at the very highest level.
"It is fantastic for someone my age and at my time of development to train and play alongside two players like Shaun and Adam.
"I can learn so much from them and hopefully that will make me a better player, whichever position I play, in the future."
Hull have reached the play-offs in each of the last two seasons but Lee is confident they can improve on their recent achievements.
"We have tasted a bit of success in the last couple of years but I am convinced there is a lot more to come.
"I really do believe that in the next couple of years we're going to be knocking on the door to win some major honours.
"We're capable of winning honours and with the players we have brought in I feel we have strengthened our chances.
"The club has made some shrewd signings, bringing in skill and experience and that can only improve what is already a talented squad."
