Former Hull second row leaves JJB Stadium

Wigan have released former Hull second row forward Danny Hill from the 12 months left on his contract. The 23-year-old joined the Warriors from Hull on a two-and-a-half-year deal in May 2006 but made only 12 appearances, all but one of them off the bench. "We have decided to release Danny from his contract with the club which will give him an opportunity to move elsewhere for the 2008 season," said Wigan coach Brian Noble. Hill is expected to join National League One club Widnes Vikings, who are re-building their team under new ownership.
