Warrington prop Anthony England faces lengthy ban for spitting offence

Warrington forward Anthony England could be banned for up to eight matches after being charged with spitting at an opponent.

The 28-year-old prop was one of four players sin-binned during a spiteful Super League match between the Wolves and Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium on Sunday.

It was a feisty encounter in Super League between the Huddersfield Giants and Warrington Wolves, with two separate fights breaking out and four players see

He was shown a yellow card along with Huddersfield captain Danny Brough following a fight, and had to be restrained as the players continued their argument on the sidelines.

England has been charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel with a grade E offence which carries a suspension of between four and eight matches.

The player does not have the option of submitting an early-guilty plea and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday.
