Alterations to 20m restart, scrum, offside and penalty tries
Super League is set for four rule changes when the new season gets underway in February.
Under the new laws, a kick to touch from a 20 metre restart which bounces before going out of play will see the kicking side awarded with head and feed at the scrum.
The loose forward will no longer be able to trap the ball at the back of the scrum to catch the opposition offside either.
When the scrum is moving forwards the ball is now deemed to be out of the scrum when it comes from between and behind the inner feet of the second row forwards.
All defenders must have both feet behind the referee's front foot at the play of the ball to avoid being caught offside in the third change.
And finally, when an attacking team has the ball stolen over an opponent's try line a penalty will be awarded rather than a penalty try.
The laws apply to all games involving Super League, National League and Academy teams and came into force from Boxing Day's pre-season friendly matches.
