Warrington add former Saints star to coaching team
Former St Helens stand-off Tommy Martyn has joined the coaching staff of Super League neighbours Warrington.
The 36-year-old ex-Ireland international has moved to Saints' Super League rivals on a part-time time basis as a kicking coach for the Wolves' academy players.
Lance Todd Trophy winner Martyn, had a one-month trial spell at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in March and has impressed enough to earn himself a more permanent role with the Wolves.
Very impressed
First-team coach Paul Cullen told the
Warrington Guardian: "We've been very impressed with the work he's done.
"He will now join the club in a part-time coaching capacity with a brief to offer his kicking expertise to academy players.
"There is the potential to use him possibly at first-team level if and when that presents.
"He will also look to mentor some of the young half-backs we've got coming through our ranks."
