Tigers tie up longest-serving player
Prop forward Craig Huby has signed a new contract with Super League club Castleford.
Huby, who is the club's longest-serving player despite not turning 22 until next week, has agreed a three-year extension to his current deal.
The new contract keeps him at the club until the end of the 2011 season.
Huby made his debut for the Tigers just weeks after his 17th birthday in 2003 and played his 90th game for the club at the Millennium Magic weekend.
"We have had some disappointments this season but I feel that the club's future is very bright and, as a local lad, I want to be part of it," he said.
Castleford recently secured the long-term futures of Joe Westerman and Ryan McGoldrick and coach Terry Matterson is delighted to tie up Huby for another three years.
"We feel that we have laid a platform with him and that his best rugby is in front of him," he said.
