Aussie ace set for Super League switch

Wigan Warriors have agreed a deal with the Canterbury Bulldogs which will see versatile Australian Cameron Phelps arrive at the JJB Stadium. Phelps can play as a centre or on the wing and will officially join the Warriors after making his final appearance for the Bulldogs in next Monday's NRL clash with Cronulla. Phelps is currently in his third season with the Bulldogs, and club chief executive Todd Greenberg revealed the decision to release the 23-year-old was mutual. "Cameron has requested an opportunity to further his career overseas, which we were more than happy to assist with given the right circumstances," Greenberg told the Bulldogs' official club website. "Cameron has been a tremendous servant to this club, coming through the local junior ranks and going on to make a significant contribution in the senior grades."
