Boss does not want the Catalans to get too far ahead of themselves
Catalans boss Mick Potter is keeping his high-flying side's feet firmly on the ground ahead of Wigan's visit to Perpignan on Saturday night.
After beating the Bulls 24-16 at Bradford last weekend, the French side currently lie in third place in the engage Super League and have a great chance of claiming a play-off place.
That represents a fantastic achievement for a club who were only admitted into the competition in 2006.
"If you had asked us at the start of the year where would we be at round 16, I wouldn't have said we would be sitting on 21 points," said Potter.
Fortunate
"But we have been very fortunate with injuries and touch wood we don't have too many more.
"We're in good shape compared to other clubs. You have a better chance of winning with a more established squad, so we are fortunate we have got lots to pick from.
"But getting wins is very hard - Wigan this weekend will be no different.
"They are coming off the back of a week off and they will be formidable opposition and give us a tough time."
Potter, who leaves for St Helens next season, believes the team are in striking distance of the semis.
But he said they can not get too far ahead of themselves given Wigan are just three points behind with a game in hand and there are five other clubs within seven.
Encouraging
He added: "We don't know what is around the corner but we are within striking distance of making the semi-finals and that is very encouraging for a group of players that has only been together for a couple of seasons.
"But just three weeks ago we well and truly got taught a rugby league lesson by St Helens and Bradford also showed us how to play in the Challenge Cup.
"So, we are not getting too far ahead of ourselves."
The Dragons are close to full strength with Aaron Gorrell set to return after two games out with a shoulder problem.
