Wigan Warriors will find out on Tuesday if Gareth Hock will be banned for the rest of the season.

Warriors forward could be banned for upto eight matches

Wigan Warriors will find out on Tuesday if Gareth Hock will be banned for the rest of the season. Hock will face the RFL's disciplinary chiefs after grabbing the arm of referee Ian Smith during the defeat to Huddersfield on Friday. If found guilty, the 24-year-old could be banned for eight matches - and facing the prospect of sitting out the rest season. Wigan have five games left of the regular season and with a maximum of four play-off match, Hock may have played his last game. And with the World Cup beginning in October, Hock would have no time to impress England coach Tony Smith. Referee Smith dismissed Hock in the 74th minute of Wigan's 34-4 loss to the Giants after showing dissent to one of his decisions. Hock, though, then seemed to manhandle Smith in the aftermath with the RFL's charge claiming he acted "contrary to the true spirit of the game".
