Winger to join his hometown club

Bradford Bulls have signed winger Rikki Sheriffe on a two-year contract following his failure to agree a new deal at Harlequins. Sheriffe, 24, has had spells at Halifax and Huddersfield and joins his hometown club where he will play alongside his younger brother Jode. "I'm born and bred Bradford and as a kid I always wanted to go on and play for the Bulls," he said. "There were a couple of other top-six sides interested and Quins wanted to keep me but I was only ever interested in coming to Bradford." Bradford coach Steve McNamara added: "He's a Bradford lad who is very keen to get back up north and I'm looking forward to working with him. "I thought Rikki was outstanding in the first half of the year and was on the verge of an England call-up and only injury prevented that but he certainly has the potential to play internationally." The Bulls are also expected to sign Sheriffe's Quins team-mate Michael Worrincy.
