Bradford agree to release prop from last year of his deal

Castleford have snapped up Chris Feather on a one-year deal after he was released by Bradford. The 26-year-old still had a year left to run on his current deal at the Bulls having joined the club from Leeds in 2006. However, Feather has struggled with injuries at the club - with the Bulls agreeing to release him early. And Feather, who aloes played for Wakefield, can't wait to kick-start his career at the Tigers. He said: "I have had a couple of steady years with Bradford but been a bit unlucky with injuries, but I'm fully fit now, ready to get stuck into a good pre-season, and looking forward to playing some regular rugby. "I am pleased that Terry (Matterson) has given me this chance. He seems really switched on and has signed well for the coming season and I'm sure that the Tigers can go really well." Tigers coach Terry Matterson is equally as pleased to have signed Feather. He said: "I am really pleased to have Chris on board, he is the sort of player we have been looking for. "He is big and strong and very mobile and will give our pack some real strength and stature."
