Salford begin to build for next season by bringing in two new faces
Salford have strengthened their squad ahead of their return to Super League with the signing of Rob Parker and Dean McGillivray.
Forward Parker was released by Warrington following the Wolves' capture of Garreth Carvell. He has signed a one-year deal with the Reds.
Winger McGillivray, 20, arrives from St Helens on a two-year contract and will join up with hiw new team-mates for pre-season training in mid-November.
Coach Shaun McRae is delighted with his double capture with more new faces set to arrive at The Willows in the future.
"Rob is a very versatile player whether playing up front, at back row or loose forward," he said.
Experience
"He has great leg speed at the line and is technically very proficient at defence with lots of experience from his previous two clubs.
"Dean is a young player who has been in the Saints system for five years but really wants the opportunity to play first team rugby.
"He is a highly-regarded member of the Saints team, dedicated to training and his signing for the Reds is a positive one. He is exactly the kind of player we are looking for."
Another signing expected to be made by the recently-crowned National League One champions is centre Willie Talau.
The former New Zealand international, who played in the 2000 World Cup final, is set to play his last game for St Helens on Saturday in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.
