Hull KR forward signs two-year deal with Australian outfit
Prop Garret Crossman has ended his Hull KR career a year early to return to Australia's National Rugby League with South Sydney.
Crossman had played in all but one of Rovers' 30 league and cup matches in 2008 but has now signed a two-year deal with Souths.
The Super League outfit have already signed a replacement in St Helens prop Nick Fozzard, while young front rower Scott Wheeldon has joined them from Hull.
Souths chief executive Shane Richardson has welcomed the addition of the 25-year-old former Penrith and Melbourne forward into their squad.
Hard-working
"Crossman is a hard-working, tough front rower who will complement our pack," said Richardson, the former Hull and Gateshead chief.
"Garret knows what it's like to win in the NRL, having played with the premiership-winning Melbourne team and has played strongly in the Super League this year.
"He wants to come home and we're looking forward to having him join the squad in November."
