Hull KR coach in hot water after criticising referee
The Rugby Football League (RFL) have charged Hull KR coach Justin Morgan with misconduct for his comments about referee Ben Thaler.
The Australian was angered by what he saw as Thaler's "substandard" performance during Rovers' defeat by Huddersfield Giants on Easter Monday and said he did not want the official to take charge of his side's matches in the future.
Morgan claimed Huddersfield were allowed to get away with "blue murder" and suggested Thaler needs to return to a lower grade and "spend some time learning the rules".
"It is absolutely disgraceful every time we get him," Morgan said.
"There is a very common denominator every time there is a poor game of rugby league and that is Mr Thaler."
Morgan will now face a hearing on April 22 after being charged with breaching the RFL's operational rules.
If he is found guilty, the RFL have the power to impose a wide range of sanctions, although a fine is most likely.
