Former Warrington star facing uncertain future after being let go

Stuart Reardon has been released by Hull FC just 11 days after he signed on at the KC Stadium. The 27-year-old former Bradford and Great Britain utility back has not played since rupturing his Achilles tendon in Warrington's Challenge Cup defeat by St Helens last May. He was released by Tony Smith's side on April 9 and snapped up by the Airlie Birds just two days later. He had been expected to make his comeback in the next few weeks and was actually included in Hull's initial 19-man squad for their Easter Monday game at St Helens. But, following a thorough medical, including ultrasound and MRI scans, Hull have now decided to part company with the player without him having played a game. Hull chief executive James Rule said: "We obviously feel sorry for Stuart. However, we cannot retain a player after he has failed our rigorous medical examination. We wish Stuart well in his future career." Reardon is due in Bradford's domestic violence court tomorrow - alongside St Helens stand-off Leon Pryce - for sentencing after pleading guilty to assaulting his estranged wife.
