Tigers boosted by return of promising prospect Walker

Castleford prop forward Jonathan Walker has returned to the Jungle following a loan spell with Gateshead Thunder. The 19-year-old, who had a spell with the Bradford Bulls academy, has yet to make an appearance for the Tigers this season. But he enjoyed a good stint with the North East club and is determined to push for a first grade place after he recovers from a knock that will keep him out for two weeks. "It was always our intention to bring Jonathan back sooner rather than later," Castleford head of youth development Steve Gill said. "He is part of our long term plans, and he can now recover from this injury and look to press his claims. "I would like to thank Gateshead for giving him the opportunity to play some first team football."
