England captain could be punished for high tackle
England captain Jamie Peacock could face disciplinary action for a high tackle on Catalans Dragons player Greg Bird.
The front-row was not placed on report for the tackle, which occurred during Leeds Rhinos' 32-30 defeat to the French side, but the incident will be reviewed by a Rugby Football League panel.
The panel will meet on Monday, just before Peacock is due to travel to Paris in preparation for England's international clash with France on Saturday.
If a charge is brought against him, Peacock will be due to face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday, with his club expected to represent him if he is in France.
England coach Tony Smith will meet with his 19-man squad on Monday morning following the weekend's round of Super League fixtures.
He has a list of standby players ready should he have to make any changes due to injury.
