Forward set to renew contract

Celebrated Salford forward Luke Adamson has announced he is looking to renew his contract and stay with the Reds for a further three years. The 21-year-old Adamson served his apprenticeship with Leigh East amateur club, where he spent three years. The youngster went on to make his debut with the Reds in 2006 with a 36-18 victory against Wakefield and since then Adamson become a powerful forward. The highly-rated forward has made it known that he has no intention of leaving The Willows and aims to use the next three years to continue his development. "We are very close to striking a new deal and I want to stay," Adamson told MEN Sport. Adamson missed the recent defeat at Hull due to an ankle injury but hopes to overcome it in time for tomorrow's home game against Huddersfield. He said: "I've really enjoyed how things have gone this season. I like to think my form has been good and I'm looking forward to continued success in the future with Salford."
