Giants star hails new boss after securing Wembley trip
Huddersfield scrum-half Luke Robinson has hailed new coach Nathan Brown as the club targets a first Challenge Cup success in over 50 years.
Robinson was one of the side's standout performers as the Giants booked their place in the final on Sunday with an impressive 24-14 victory over St Helens at Warrington.
And the former Wigan man says Brown - who has also guided the side to third place in Super League - is the man responsible for his upturn in form this year.
"I'm enjoying playing with the lads and playing under Nathan Brown," he said.
"I think he's re-galvanised my career. It's been a bit of a turnaround.
"You learn to appreciate these times a bit more when you go through what I've been through in the last few years.
"When the highs do come around you learn to appreciate them.
"The Challenge Cup final is something we've grown up watching, always wanting to be part of it.
"Now I've got the chance but it's only half the job done really."
Hopes
Huddersfield will have to defeat Tony Smith's Warrington if they are to triumph in the final and, while Robinson is optimistic about their chances, he knows anything could happen at Wembley.
"We are playing decent enough rugby and we should have a chance to win it," he said.
"But sometimes you need the bounce of the ball to go your way and luckily it did yesterday, although I think it went our way because of the effort we put in defensively.
"Saints are a quality side and hadn't been beaten in the cup for four years.
"When they are finding it hard you know you are doing something right."
