Second-row forward to join Tigers on three-year deal

Steve Snitch is to leave Wakefield and join Super League neighbours Castleford after signing a three-year contract. The 26-year-old, who will move to The Jungle at the end of the current season, is the first player signed by the Tigers for their 2010 campaign. Snitch, a second row forward, has missed only two games for Wakefield since joining them for a second time from Huddersfield a year ago. "We don't plan to make too many changes this time around and I have been very happy to have the bulk of this year's squad on deals for next season and beyond," said Castleford coach Terry Matterson. "But we do need to add some particular strengths and I feel that Steve will prove a top acquisition. "As well as in the second row he can also do a job up front and he has had a great season this year."
