Warrington prop forward Steve Pickersgill has ended a seven-year association with the club by joining Widnes.
The 23-year-old forward signed professionally as a schoolboy for the Wolves back in 2002 and went on to make his first team debut three years later.
He was on the verge of establishing himself in the matchday squad before an anterior cruciate ligament injury in April 2008 ended his season, and he was restricted to just four engage Super League appearances in 2009.
He spent a month on loan at Widnes this summer and was instrumental in the club's Northern Rail Cup triumph.
And, having failed to cement his place at Warrington, Pickersgill has now signed with the Vikings on a three-year deal.
