Dean Widders scored twice in the second half as Castleford Tigers claimed a 14-12 pre-season victory over Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.
The Tigers, who spent the week before the match training in the south of France, led 4-0 at half-time courtesy of a try from centre James Evans.
Australian forward Widders bagged a brace after the break, while the Dragons also got across the whitewash twice through Kane Bentley and Cyril Stacul.
William Barthau kicked two goals for the French side but it was a second-half conversion from Tigers prop Craig Huby that proved the difference in the end.
Castleford open their engage Super League campaign with a trip to Leeds Rhinos on February 5, while Catalans start away to Wakefield Wildcats on February 7.
