Richie Myler scored four tries on his first appearance for Warrington as the Wolves crushed Leigh 60-16 in their pre-season trial game at Leigh Sporting Village. The 19-year-old former Widnes and Salford half-back scored a first-half hat-trick, while fellow newcomer Ryan Atkins was also among the tries on his debut for Tony Smith's men. Lee Briers was perfect with the boot, kicking all 10 of his conversion attempts. Dave McConnell, Nick Stanton and Ian Mort scored tries for Leigh to provide encouragement for new coach Ian Millward.
