Salford centre charged with illegal use of the forearm

Salford's Stuart Littler is to face the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee after being charged with illegal use of the forearm. The Reds' long-serving centre was referred to the hearing by the RFL's match review panel for a 50th-minute challenge on Leeds prop forward Ryan Bailey during the Rhinos' 22-10 victory on Friday. Tuesday's hearing will also rule on France captain Olivier Elima following his dismissal for a high tackle on winger Jonny Lomax in Catalans Dragons' 42-12 home defeat by St Helens on Saturday. Meanwhile, the RFL have issued a formal caution to Wigan second rower Phil Bailey for a 'choke' tackle on Warrington centre Ryan Atkins and also sent a warning letter to St Helens scrum half Kyle Eastmond for a high tackle on Catalans centre Chris Walker.
