Wigan Warriors have recalled full-back Matty Bowen for Thursday's Super League trip to the KC Stadium to face Hull FC.

Bowen was rested for last weekend's win over Widnes but he replaces Larne Patrick, who is recovering from concussion.

John Bateman is set to continue at centre in place of the injured Dan Sarginson as Wigan look to sign off from the Super League regular season with a third successive.

"I want to go into the Super 8s with some good tempo behind us and we need to perform well at a tough place," said Warriors head coach Shaun Wane.

Hull FC confirmed their place their in the Super 8 at the expense of city rivals Hull KR last Friday, but victory came at a price.

Wigan scored two tries in the final 10 minutes to claim a 20-10 win over Widnes

Captain Gareth Ellis and Leon Pryce both suffered injuries during the 22-12 win at the KC Lightstream Stadium, with the former ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Dean Hadley and Richard Whiting are vying for Ellis’ place in the second row while stand-off Jordan Abdull will deputise for Pryce.
