Star men banned - Your View

Do Phil Vickery and Schalk Burger deserve their Rugy World Cup bans?

England skipper Phil Vickery has been banned for two games for tripping and will miss Friday's crucial clash with South Africa. But Springbok flanker Schalk Burger - a former World Player of the Year and arguably South Africa's key performer - will miss four games for a dangerous high tackle. The South African team management is to appeal against what they have called a "shocking and incomprehensible" ban for Burger, who maintained he was legitimately contesting a high ball. Both men have excellent disciplinary records but are set to sit out large chunks of the tournament. Were the panel too harsh? Or should these sort of offences be punished firmly to stamp out indiscipline in what can be a dangerous game?
