Tony Kendall and Rich Orford explain about Cash Poker, Multi-Table Tournaments and Sit & Go's and how each differ. The beauty of Poker is that it can played in different formats, and you can find your favourite from the 3 on offer. Cash Poker - You buy in and each chip you are given is worth cash. The blinds don't go up and the game keeps going until people no longer wish to play. Keeping the blinds in mind, players can buy into the game for as much as they wish to play with. Multi-Table Tournaments (MTT's) - Players buy-in and the game starts at a scheduled time. The aim is to knock each other out until one person is left standing. Players each start with the same number of chips and blinds will steadily increase forcing more action as the tournament goes on. The prizepool is structured to pay a larger number of the field. Sit & Go's - These are 'mini MTT's' whereby players buy-in for a fixed amount and try to knock each other out. The game begins when the required number of players register, on Sky Poker that's 6 people. Chip stacks will be the same for everyone and the blinds will go up until a winner is crowned. The prizepool is awarded to fewer people as the field size is much smaller. Sit & Go's are a great way to learn Poker for a small amount of money.
