John Cena returns to WWE Smackdown

John Cena makes his return to WWE tonight.
The 16-time World Champion hasn't been seen in the ring since Wrestlemania but it'll be an all-American welcome as he makes his Smackdown comeback on Independence Day.
Cena's been off working on his new film The Wall but his future in WWE has been up for discussion among fans.
He's being billed as a 'free agent' despite being drafted by Smackdown last year, meaning he may be able to transfer to RAW or pick his next opponent from the entire WWE roster.
Cena's expected to take a starring role at SummerSlam in August, so it'll be interesting to see whether he targets a rival tonight.
The future of two titles will also be sorted on Smackdown tonight.
Lana gets her third shot at the Women's Championship against Naomi after last week's bout ended in controversy.
Lana was pinned by the champion but appeared to have her shoulder raised, meaning she's been granted a rematch.
An 'Independence Day Battle Royal' will also be held to determine the No. 1 contender the U.S. Championship.
The winner will face Kevin Owens at Battleground later this month.
