WWE Raw: Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns reunite

Former Shield Superstars team up in the main event

A one-off Shield reunion and a litany of legends were seen on the final edition of Raw before Hell in a Cell.

Add in a nearly-but-not-quite confrontation between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar and a catalogue of high-octane matches, and Monday night in Dallas was an absolute belter.

One of the aforementioned legends, Shawn Michaels, goaded Seth Rollins into teaming with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns - the men he sold out over a year ago to side with The Authority - in their main-event clash against The Wyatt Family.

Rollins, victorious over Ryback earlier in the evening, left his partners high and dry after complaining of a knee injury and Ambrose and Reigns would go on to lose their bout when The Lunatic Fringe clobbered Braun Strowman with a kendo stick.

But Reigns soon gained momentum ahead of his Hell in a Cell encounter with Bray Wyatt on Sunday evening by spearing both the Eater of Worlds and Erick Rowan, back among Wyatt's brood with Luke Harper absent.

Raw began with the sound of shattered glass as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin bounded to the ring in order to introduce The Undertaker.

The Undertaker vowed to make Paul Heyman's nightmares come true at Hell in a Cell by defeating his client, Lesnar, for the second time in a row following his triumph at SummerSlam.

Lesnar, who broke the Phenom's unbeaten streak at WrestleMania in 2014, took umbrage to his rival's comments but after leaping on to the ring apron, decided against engaging in fisticuffs.

Elsewhere, Xavier Woods rolled-up D-Von Dudley as The New Day edged John Cena and The Dudley Boyz in a six-man tag tussle - but the trombone-playing Superstar wasn't smiling for long, as he received an Attitude Adjustment before being powerbombed through a table!

Powerbombs were also deployed during and after Kevin Owens' victory over Mark Henry, the Canadian using the move to conquer the World's Strongest Man before being hit by the manoeuvre courtesy of Ryback.

Bad News Barrett, Sheamus and Rusev overcame Neville, Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler - Barrett pinning Ziggler after The Show-Off was Brogue Kicked by Sheamus - while Charlotte beat Brie Bella and Team BAD's Naomi and Sasha Banks were vanquished By Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox.
