Saracens added to their burgeoning list of accolades on Wednesday night - after being presented with a custom WWE Championship.

The reigning Aviva Premiership and European Rugby Champions Cup winners were awarded the prize courtesy of WWE commentator and Saracens supporter JBL at a live WWE show at London's O2 Arena.

Props Richard Barrington and Petrus du Plessis were among the players to hold the belt as the stars of WWE Raw headed to the English capital for a one-night-only special.

Du Plessis also tweeted pictures of him meeting Chelsea captain John Terry and a host of WWE Superstars, including Seth Rollins, Cesaro and WWE Women's Champion Charlotte.

JBL, who commentates every Tuesday night on Smackdown Live, is a huge rugby fan, while he is close friends with former Northampton Saints and London Irish prop Alex Corbisiero.

Saracens began the defence of their Aviva Premiership crown in convincing style at Twickenham on Saturday, defeating Worcester Warriors 35-3 - debutant fly-half Alex Lozowski scoring 20 points.
