John Cena, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose came to blows on WWE Smackdown - with Ambrose the one left standing tall.

The trio will square off for Styles' WWE World Championship at the No Mercy pay-per-view on Sunday night, which you can watch live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Cena, Styles and Ambrose initially exchanged words on Tuesday, though, with Ambrose berating Styles for using a low blow to win the title from him at Backlash in September.

Styles then told Cena that he does not compare to Ric Flair, despite the fact that should The Cenation Leader triumph this weekend he will match The Nature Boy's tally of 16 world titles.

How much do you know about the 15-time champ?

Ambrose's insistence that Cena plays the political game backstage led to Cena spearing Ambrose, hitting Styles with an Attitude Adjustment and holding the championship aloft.

Styles countered by clubbing Cena with a Phenomenal Forearm and walking away with his belt - until he was attacked by Ambrose and planted with Dirty Deeds.

Elsewhere on Smackdown, Alexa Bliss and Carmella defeated Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella in a women's tag-team match - Bliss blasting Lynch with her Twisted Bliss moonsault to seal the win.

Bella had chased Carmella to the back by that point but the latter will get a chance for revenge when they go one-on-one at No Mercy, the same night Bliss will challenge Lynch for the Women's Title.

Jason Jordan defeated Jimmy Uso via a roll-up - before Heath Slater and Rhyno helped him and his partner, Chad Gable, fend off an assault from the Samoan-American twins.

The Hype Bros downed The Vaudevillains; Jack Swagger knocked off Baron Corbin after the referee deemed the Lone Wolf had tapped out; and Curt Hawkins confirmed he will wrestle at No Mercy.

The Miz, meanwhile, celebrated Dolph Ziggler's career - which will end on Sunday if he loses his Intercontinental Title bout - by bringing back his former Spirit Squad pals, Mikey and Kenny.

The cheerleaders soon jumped The Show-Off from behind but he was able to get the better of his ex-team-mates and almost clocked The Miz with a superkick before The Awesome One scarpered.

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt's mind games also intensified ahead of their clash at No Mercy, starting when Wyatt abandoned his match against Kane to hunt for The Viper backstage.

Orton seemingly outwitted Wyatt by locking him in a storage pod but the bearded brawler had escaped by the end of the night - after conversing with the mysterious Sister Abigail.
