Recent WWE returnee Mickie James is hopeful of one day being inducted into the company's Hall of Fame.

James won the Women's Championship five times and the Divas Title once during her initial stint on WWE's main roster between 2005 and 2010.

The 37-year-old, who re-joined the Smackdown brand in January, has seen former WWE opponents Trish Stratus ( 2013) and Lita (2014) enter WWE's Hall of Fame - and told ESPN that she would love to join them.

"I'm very happy to see people I know and have worked with and admire get into the Hall of Fame," she said. "That's obviously one of those things we all secretly hope for. That would be pretty awesome.

"It's an acknowledgement of everything that you did, sacrificed and gave to the company and a chance to acknowledge everything they gave to you."

James faced reigning NXT Champion Asuka at TakeOver: Toronto in November, before signing a deal to return to WWE on a permanent basis.
