Natalya, Carmella and Tamina made a statement by ruining the WWE Women's Championship match and beating up both Charlotte Flair and Naomi.

There's a new 'Women's Revolution' taking place on Smackdown.

Not so much a revolution, more of a revolt after Carmella, Natalya and Tamina burst into the ring to attack Naomi and Charlotte Flair during their Women's Championship match.

Unhappy at 4-time champion Flair being given a title shot so soon after transferring from RAW, the trio used the main event of Smackdown to stage their protest.

Just as the match appeared to be coming to a conclusion, Carmella, Nayalya and Tamina assaulted the championship rivals.

The numbers game was too much for Flair and Naomi and the show finished with the revolters standing tall over their fallen foes.

Randy Orton warmed up for his 'house of horrors' match for the WWE Championship at WWE Payback, live on Sky Sports Box Office on Sunday, by beating Erick Rowan in an 'no disqualification' match.

Chairs, stairs, tables and a kendo stick were all used by the champion as he sent a message to challenger Bray Wyatt.

Number one contender Jinder Mahal stole the WWE Championship off Randy Orton as a warning ahead of their match at WWE Backlash.

But his victory would be soured when he was confronted and attacked by Jinder Mahal and NXT tag team The Bollywood Boyz.

Mahal, who faces the winner of Orton vs Wyatt at Backlash next month, beat down the current title holder and then walked away with his belt.

AJ Styles beat Baron Corbin for the second week in a row, this time by pinfall.

It was Kevin Owens, however, that would ultimately be the winner. The U.S. Champion beat down Styles and Sami Zayn, who had tried to come to AJ's rescue, to stand on his own in the centre of the ring with his belt raised high.

The intention was clear; to send a message to Chris Jericho who he faces on Sunday at Payback and to Styles, who is in line to take on the winner.

Shinsuke Nakamura has his first proper rivalry since joining Smackdown.

Dolph Ziggler interrupted his interview with Renee Young to kickoff the show, called his 'overrated' and then tried to attack him before Nakamura successfully defended himself.

It'll be interesting to how the battle between the 'King of Strong Style' and the 'Show Off' plays out in the build up to Backlash on May 21.
