WWE's first ever UK Champion, Tyler Bate, has retained his belt at the first time of asking.

Taking on Manchester's own Jack Gallagher on NXT, Dudley-born Bate put on a show in front of the fans in Florida.

The match was rich in technical wrestling, with the pair impressing with their grappling skills.

'Gentleman' Jack tried to tap into his arsenal of submissions but Bate held firm.

After kicking out of a vicious headbutt, Bate fought back to drop Gallagher with the Tyler Drive '97 to pick up the pin.
