WWE superstar Charlotte Flair admits she had to overcome confidence issues at the start of her career.
As you can see in the video above, the four-time Women's Champion has been reflecting on the start of her time in the industry and has revealed she was riddled with doubts in the early days.
"I was so nervous, I wasn't confident at all" Flair's told WWE's 'Then and Now' series. "I wasn't confident with the overall idea that I was wrestling and it shows."
Flair spent two years on WWE's developmental show NXT from 2013-15 where she was made to find her own on-screen persona, wrestling under the name 'Charlotte' as she sought her own identity away from her famous father Rick.
"I wasn't allowed to 'Wooo!' or do anything that resembled who my dad was as they didn't know what was going to happen and they wanted me to figure out who I was."
Flair has gone on to reportedly become WWE's highest paid female talent thanks to a mixture of impressive athleticism and an ability to be a fans' favourite even when acting dastardly.
She's gone from a nervous developmental prospect to headlining pay-per-views and insists it's all been worth it.
"I don't think I'd change anything. I don't think I'd be here if I didn't go through the struggles and growing process."
