Weddings, groundbreaking matches and controversial endings have made the pay-per-view one of the must-see shows on the WWE calendar.
Unsurprisingly, the classic match at Wembley that saw British Bulldog beat Bret Hart in front of more than 80,000 fans is high up the list.
WWE's flair for the dramatic is also encapsulated by 'Macho Man' Randy Savage's wedding to Miss Elizabeth in 1991, which is also a highlight.
Shane McMahon's daredevil feats feature twice, with his fall from 40ft up at SummerSlam 2000 a difficult thing to watch.
Brock Lesnar, who is in the main event of this year's SummerSlam live on Sky Sports Box Office at midnight on Monday, has been a regular star over the years.
He won his first WWE Championship when he beat The Rock in 2002, hit John Cena with sixteen German Suplexes in 2014 and destroyed Randy Orton with a brutal TKO last year.
It'll be interesting to see whether he can enjoy the same type of dominance in his Fatal Four-Way match against Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns this weekend.
