One night after SummerSlam's hellacious Fatal 4-Way Match, Braun Strowman isn't finished with Brock Lesnar

Both SummerSlam and NXT Takeover lived up to the hype but that means some superstars are on top while others struggle. We look at who's had a good week in WWE, while others falter...

GOOD WEEK

Braun Strowman (RAW)

It's hard to look past Braun Strowman as he proved his dominance at SummerSlam when he put Brock Lesnar through two tables before throwing another on top of him.

Strowman may not have been able to lift the Universal Championship in Brooklyn but he was able to show he has what it takes to defeat the champion when he caught him off guard.

His dominance on Sunday night followed by his manhandling of Lesnar once again on RAW has led to WWE announcing Strowman will finally get his first one-on-one shot at Lesnar at No Mercy next month.

The Glorious One, Bobby Roode, makes his electrifying SmackDown debut against Aiden English

Bobby Roode (SmackDown)

Bobby Roode may have lost his NXT Championship to Drew McIntyre at NXT Takeover on Saturday night but it seems WWE had a much bigger plan for 'The Glorious One'.

That was made clear when he interrupted Aiden English on Tuesday night and made his debut on SmackDown.

Roode could now be the star to fill the gap left by John Cena on the Blue Brand and, having already proven his star power in NXT, it seems SmackDown fans are in for an interesting few weeks.

Wolfgang (NXT)

Ever since the UK Tournament earlier this year, the talk has all been about Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate, who had a fantastic match back at NXT Takeover: Chicago.

That being said, this week on NXT Dunne teamed up with Wolfgang to take on the team of Bate and Trent Seven and it was Wolfgang who hit an impressive Swanton to win the match for his team.

The UK competitors haven't had a lot of TV time since the end of the show in January so this could hopefully be a sign of things to come for many of the underutilised stars.

BAD WEEK

Big Cass (RAW)

Things were going well for Big Cass after beating Big Show at SummerSlam and being on the verge of finishing off his rival Enzo Amore on RAW.

Big Cass is examined in the trainer's room after suffering a knee injury during his Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore

He was about to hit an 'Empire Elbow' when his knee buckled and the match had to be stopped.

Cass will now miss nine months with an ACL injury, right in the middle of the biggest push in his career.

After beating The Hype Bros on SmackDown, The Usos put the entire Team Blue Tag Team division on notice

The Hype Bros (SmackDown)

The Hype Bros were given a chance to prove they deserve to be in the title picture when they took on The Usos but they blew it.

Zack Ryder has returned from injury recently and there have been teases of problems between Mojo Rawley and Ryder, but they seemed to co-exist well in the match.

The duo, however, was unable to get the win that would then have put them into contention for a title shot, which means that they remain alongside The Ascension as two of the most under-used teams on the brand.

No Way Jose (NXT)

It seems No Way Jose was completely unprepared for the fight that Lars Sullivan gave to him this week on NXT, when he was assaulted as he made his way to the ring.

Jose would love a main roster call-up but defeats like this to stars who are relatively unknown are not the way to gain the attention of WWE bosses.
