Brock Lesnar has retained the WWE Universal Championship after a hard-fought victory over Braun Strowman at No Mercy in Los Angeles.

The former UFC star had to dig deep after being dominated early on, surviving chokeslams and running powerbombs from his 6ft 8in foe.

Strowman's power advantage looked as though it would eventually see him win his first championship in WWE but Lesnar's experience came through and he managed to hit an F5 to pick up the win.

John Cena was beaten by Roman Reigns in a match that appeared to see the veteran say goodbye to the fans.

An even match swung in Reigns' favour when he speared Cena through a table, before a superman punch and another spear were enough to get a huge victory.

An emotional Cena was given a standing ovation after the match by the sellout crowd in LA in what may well be his last match for a while before he goes off to film the new Transformers film.

"I'm 40 years of age. I'm not done but I can't keep on going like I have been," Cena admitted to RAW Talk after the match, hinting at taking time away for the second time this year.

Alexa Bliss retained the Women's Championship in a Fatal 5-Way match against Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Emma and Bayley.

Jax dominated throughout but the other women teamed up to take her out, giving Bliss time to hit Bayley with a DDT to remain champion.

It was a bad night for British star Neville who lost his Crusierweight Championship to Enzo Amore in controversial circumstances.

The Newcastle-born competitor suffered a low blow behind the referee's back that ultimately cost him the title.

Arguably bout of the night saw Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins retain the Tag Team Championships against Sheamus & Cesaro.

To make matters worse for the challengers, Cesaro lost two teeth after being slammed into a ringpost early on but still managed to complete the match despite a mouth full of blood and a shattered smile.
