Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan's guest refereeing duties did not turn out as planned at Clash of Champions.
It was perhaps always likely the duo would not officiate the match between Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura & Randy Orton as traditional referees.
WIth Shane deciding before the match - which was the penultimate contest at Clash of Champions - that Owens and Zayn would be fired from all of WWE if they lost, there was a huge amount on the line.
Bryan was there to provide some balance in a rare instance of 'dual refereeing' in which the pair divided the ring in half to - in theory - have every angle covered.
But it didn't quite pan out like that, as our video confirms........
