John Cena and Kane let battle commence in a no-disqualification match in the penultimate episode of WWE Raw before WrestleMania.
Cena took on the Big Red Machine in a match under "anything goes" rules as part of his plan to lure The Undertaker out for a match at the biggest event of the year, in New Orleans on April 8.
The action was a fierce as one might expect, with Cena taking a nasty-looking suplex onto the guard rail and putting Kane through a table to ultimately clinch the victory.
After the match, he again called out The Undertaker and even performed his trademark 'cut throat' gesture to the camera in an attempt to further taunt the Phenom.
Lesnar and Reigns brawl it out
Brock Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman was in high spirits after his client hospitalised Roman Reigns last week but his joy turned to despair when Reigns appeared from the crowd brandishing a chair.
He even managed to get a few shots in on Lesnar with it before the WWE Universal champion seized the momentum and proceeded to put another beatdown on the Big Dog.
Reigns appeared injured going into the showdown and his ailments are likely to have only been exacerbated by a painful trip to Suplex City.
Absolution taken down by Rousey
Paige's offer to Ronda Rousey to become part of Absolution was not a glorious success, with the former UFC champion not only flat out rejecting the offer but then also seeing off the subsequent attack from the heel faction.
Sonya Deville attempted a sneak attack but was flattened with a forearm before Mandy Rose was launched across the ring by Rousey.
The incident will serve as a stark warning to Rousey's WrestleMania opponent Stephanie McMahon, who she had earlier described as being "trust fund tough".
Strowman scores win over Sheamus
Mystery continues to surround the identity of Braun Strowman's partner for his Raw tag team title match against The Bar at WrestleMania, but he promised to reveal his choice on Raw if Sheamus could defeat him.
The Celtic Warrior gave it a decent shot, isolating and punishing the Monster Among Men's leg, but was to come up short in his bid to learn his New Orleans opposition.
Cesaro's ringside distraction had temporarily helped but the referee got wise to it, and when Sheamus missed with a Brogue Kick, Strowman was able to hit his running powerslam for the win.
