WWE Raw: Did Finn Balor win Intercontinental title from Seth Rollins?
Tuesday 1 May 2018 09:46, UK
Finn Balor faced Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental title in the main event of Raw, live on Sky Sports Arena, on Monday night.
The pair put on a wrestling clinic as they competed for the championship, and the right to defend it against The Miz at the Box Office event Backlash on Sunday.
Balor twice attempted a Coup de Grace and came up short, and Rollins also twice attempted his Stomp finisher, only to be rolled up for near-falls on both occasions.
But it was third time lucky for the champion, who levelled Balor with a superkick and then finally nailed a Stomp for the victory and a title retention.
Reigns declares himself "the real champion"
Roman Reigns addressed the vocal Montreal crowd and told them he considers himself the "real Universal champion" following his controversial loss to Brock Lesnar at the Greatest Royal Rumble.
His claim led to a trio of challengers - Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn - emerging from the backstage area to lay down a challenge.
As is often the case, this led to a physical confrontation which saw Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman come to the aid of Reigns, leading to a six-man match later in the show.
Titus takes a tumble - again!
Titus O'Neil was basking in the glory of his 'internet breaking' fall at the Greatest Royal Rumble when he was interrupted by Baron Corbin, who mocked the Titus Worldwide leader for his stumble.
Corbin was not laughing later in the evening, however, when O'Neil and his crew interrupted his match with No Way Jose.
O'Neil again fell down - this time from the ring apron - and the commotion was enough of a distraction for No Way Jose to pick up a win and spark a huge celebration at ringside.
