Samoa Joe booked his spot in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match after defeating Daniel Bryan and Big Cass in a thrilling main event on SmackDown Live.

Originally scheduled to be a singles match between Bryan and Joe, SmackDown Live General Manager Paige added Big Cass into the equation after he returned from an injury sustained at the hands of Bryan two weeks ago.

Bryan looked to be on his way to Money in the Bank after catching Cass with a running knee, but Joe locked the leader of Yes! Movement in the Coquina Clutch to steal the win.

New Day see off The A-Lister and The Bar

The New Day gained revenge on The Miz and The Bar in a six-man tag team match after Big E hit the Big Ending on Miz for the victory.

But as celebrations ensued, there seemed to be some confusion as to who will compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match, with all three New Day members taking turns to point at the prized briefcase hanging above the ring.

Shinsuke Nakamura decided to send a message to AJ Styles by knocking the already defeated Tye Dillenger with a Kinshasa to the back of the neck, then counting to the perfect ten.

Nakamura sends message to Styles

Shinsuke Nakamura fired another warning shot to WWE Champion AJ Styles ahead of their Last Man Standing match on June 17.

During his bout with Tye Dillinger, The King of Strong Style made several attempts to lay his opponent out for the ten count.

But The Perfect 10 refused to yield, with Nakamura eventually settling for a pinfall after catching him with a vicious Kinshasa.

The former NXT Champion would finally get his wish though, hitting Dillinger with another Kinshasa and counting to ten.

'Mella remains defiant

With SmackDown Women's champion Carmella watching from the commentators' table, Asuka survived a pre-match assault from Sonya Deville to defeat Mandy Rose with the Asuka lock.

Still determined not to show any fear, Carmella entered the ring to confront The Empress of Tomorrow, raising her title directly in the face of her challenger.

Lana lulled Naomi into a false sense of security during a dance-off to gain a psychological advantage ahead of the women's Money in the Bank ladder match.

The Ravishing Russian may not be seen in the eyes of many as a legitimate contender to win the briefcase, but she made a strong statement of intent catching Naomi with a surprise neckbreaker, a move that prompted a mass brawl between the on-looking Usos, Aiden English and Rusev.
