Verdict

The girls have won the last two renewals of this stayers race and captain Emma Jayne Wilson, successful in 2014, will fancy her chances this year on board Haines, who was just touched off by Dannyday in the Northunberland Plate consolation race at Newcastle last time. Saigon City was a creditable fifth in the Pitmens' Derby itself, well ahead of Notarised, after winning at York and also goes on the short-list. Serena Grae was in good form at the start of the summer while Gold Prince is also worth a second look. Percy Veer could figure if getting a run from his reserve spot but SEA OF HEAVEN can confirm recent course and distance running with Noble Silk and follow up in the hands of Japanese star Kenichi Ikezoe.
