Verdict

This race is not quite up to the standard of others on the card but it's probably one of the most competitive. Real Dominion thumped Kesselring by six lengths over course and distance last month but has been put up 9lb for that. LORD YEATS got off the mark stepped up to 1m4f at Ripon and was then only beaten half-a-length over a longer trip under a big weight at Hamilton - he's still improving and can defy a further 4lb rise in the weights. Danehill Kodiac hasn't been running badly this season and is probably worth another try over the longer distance while White Shaheen remains in decent form. Full Court Press needs to bounce back from a poor run when favourite at Down Royal, however, and Combative remains one to be wary of despite a better effort last time at Goodwood.
