Verdict

GRAMERCY was behind Joe Packet (first reserve today) at the track earlier in the season but his improvement since means he gets the vote today. Michael Bell's colt is a strong traveller and he has the scope to defy an 8lb rise for his comprehensive win at Haydock last month. Deacon Blues is another who comes from off the gallop but his mark is steadily edging up, the return to sprinting will suit Fireback who was very well-ridden at Newmarket when successful, whilst Capercaillie looks the pick of the Mark Johnston entries after a pleasing return behind Vitoria at the weekend. Nosedive beat one of her stablemates comprehensively at Newmarket, Star Rover is being kept busy but seems to be thriving, whilst the drop back to six furlongs will suit both of the Richard Hannon runners Gene Autry and Rum King.
